The biometrics unit comes with either fingerprint or facial recognition or both. One can also add the following built-in options: RFID reader, POE, WiFi, Barcode, QR code, CMOS camera, IP Intercom, GPS, and 3G module.
The device is encrypted with the latest encryption protocol, currently TLS1.3 with 256-bit encryption. All devices can be accessed and controlled using any web browser just like Internet banking!

The ACTAtek Combination Unit is one of the most popular choices for both access control (AC) and time & attendance (TA) applications. LogiPrint
ACTAtek LogiPrint is a USB device which can be used for remote user Fingerprint enrollment using ACTAtek Time Attendance (ACTAtek TA) or remote desktop enrollment software at PC.
With ACTAtek LogiPrint technology, the user can easily do the remote user registration with Fingerprint enrollments at one PC first and then update the user Fingerprint data to all ACTAtek terminals.
The LogiPrint can work together with the ACTAtek by enabling administrators to enroll users via the ACTAtek Time Attendance software (ACTAtek TA)– a proprietary software that allows you to add / modify / delete users, download logs, generate late and attendance reports.

ID-Video Software Suite
ACTAtek ID-Video Software Suite
The video surveillance market has many products available that monitor, capture and analyze video streams. ACTAtek takes this one step further by integrating the biometric authentication event with the video stream.
The ID-Video Software Suite has several components:
- System setup – basic requirements such as identifying and binding the ACTAtek units with the HD IP Camera, database initializing and video storage options.
- Video surveillance – basic functions of simultaneous viewing of multiple IP cameras, and manual recording of the video stream.
- ACTAtek Map – a 2-D mapping capability (users supplied map image of camera/ACTAtek locations) that allows placement of all camera and ACTAtek icons. The icons then become “live” allowing any camera to be viewed, or ACTAtek unit event log to be viewed by selection of the icon.
- ACTAtek real time event log – This is the heart of the software. Authentication events are time-stamped to the video stream and highlighted in the event log table, in real time.
When a user initiates an authentication from any ACTAtek unit (fingerprint, RFID smartcard or PIN) in the network, the video stream from the ACTAtek camera is time-stamped. The result is an application that shows the ACTAtek event log, CMOS camera image and a selectable video option to see the authentication event.(eg.10 seconds before and after, this period could be user specified ). Searches can be performed for specific ACTAtek units, ID logs, individuals, specific days, time and so on – a powerful tool for security directors!
These features allow Security Directors to review potential “tail-gating” where one authentication and door open event results in multiple entry.

Power Over Ethernet (PoE)
Our ACTAtek terminals can now support “Power Over Ethernet” to power the unit with a single network cable (Rj-45). Ideal for situations where it is difficult to locate a standard power source.
The PoE product includes two units: an Injector and a Splitter. An Injector inserts current into the unused wires in a standard network cable (pins: 4, 5, 7 and 8) allowing the cable between the Injector and the Splitter to transfer power and network signals simultaneously. The maximum distance between the Injector and Splitter can reach 100m/328ft, as defined by the IEEE 802.3 standard.(See the Solution Options.)
By eliminating the need for power cords, PoE has following benefits:

The cost of deploying PoE is much lower than a traditional electrical circuit.
- Ease of network planning
The system designer has more flexibility to locate network devices. Independence from power outlets makes it easier to relocate devices or obtain the best performance, e,g: fine-tuning the RF coverage of an AP.

ACTAtek Agent 2
ACTAtek Agent 2 is primarily used to download the event logs from the remote ACTAtek device in real time and without any hassle. It saves time and administrative efforts in backing up the data from the ACTAtek to a central computer.

ACTAtek Agent Log Viewer
Once successfully installed Agent2 and have ACTAtek devices registered with it, the administrator can Login to Agent2 ,and then go to “Log Viewer” to check the polling out data in real time. The data collected include the User ID, Time entry, Event ID and Terminal serial number. This data can either be manipulated in Access Database to generate time attendance reports, or exported to third party applications, including payroll and other HR software via back-end database integration.

One of the major strengths in the ACTAtek ID Management Platform is its Application Program Interface (API). This ACTAtek SOAP/API is based on the Microsoft SOAP Toolkit. ACTAtek offers a free ACTAtek SOAP API SDK that can be used to develop middleware interfaces between the ID Management Platform (Client) and vertical market software applications.(Server-based applications)
In order to allow our client to build their application software (ex. Access Control, Time Attendance, Payroll, HR, etc.) around the ACTAtek ID Management Platform, we offer a free set of SOAP/API tools (examples included) to ease the development process. Software engineers require a basic knowledge of programming in XML and TCP/IP network. External I/O Board
External I/O Board
Used in conjunction with the ACTAtek3 unit, the External I/O board provides an additional layer of security for access control systems when the ACTAtek3 terminals are exposed to general access. An encrypted serial link from the ACTAtek3 unit connected to the External I/O board ensures the door release mechanism cannot be operated directly. This means that even when there is a vandal attack or someone removes the ACTAtek3 terminal by force, the External I/O board Secure Relay will maintain operation and keep the door mechanism locked against unauthorized access.
